What We Do
DM Coaching, Training & Consulting offers customizable consulting, training, and coaching services to youth-serving nonprofit organizations, including new and established nonprofits of all sizes, as well as, emerging entrepreneurs.
Mission:
DM CTC’s mission is to support youth-serving nonprofit organizations through consulting services, training, and leadership coaching in an effort to support professionals with increasing their capacity to effectively serve their clients and communities, thereby, fulfilling their mission.
DMCTC also provides targeted workshops and coaching services to women and youth of color to fulfill their dreams, follow their passions, and lead healthy, happy, and balanced lives.
Vision:
DM CTC’s vision is to help nonprofit and business leaders reach their full potential. We support leaders in living as their authentic selves and with accomplishing their life goals through coaching and training virtually, in groups, and one-on-one.

DMCTC works with non-profit professionals through one-on-one and small group coaching. Our individual coaching provides tools that leaders and staff can use to propel themselves forward, achieve improved work balance, and renew the passion and vision that originally brought them to mission-driven work. The DMCTC team also works directly with non-profit leaders in both consulting and coaching capacities to help them and their organizations flourish.

Our Team
DMCTC is a team of strategic consultants with expertise supporting youth-serving organizations and boards of directors and nonprofit leadership teams.
Dawn Moultrie, Ed.D. and MA, Founder and Executive Director
Dr. Dawn Moultrie is an award-winning educator, nonprofit director, motivational speaker, life coach, and trainer. She is an experienced nonprofit leader who specializes in youth programs and training youth service providers. She has been an educator and a leader in working with youth for 35 years, and she has served foster and probation youth, as well as CSEC for more than 30 years through direct service and as a nonprofit director. Her coaching specializations are transformation, goal setting, career success, and business coaching.
Dr. Moultrie is the Executive Director of DM Coaching, Training & Consulting and Youth Empowerment through Entrepreneurship. Her experience includes all aspects of nonprofit leadership, organizational development, group facilitation, and strategic planning. She has a strong commitment to youth development, equity and social justice.
Dr. Moultrie is also a strategic thinker with a growth mindset and a passion for the community. Her expertise lies in combining strategy, partnerships, program management, and data analytics to drive impact.
As a skilled group facilitator, Dr. Moultrie brings a diverse set of tools and facilitation methods used to train youth service providers for over 25 years and has served as a consultant to schools and community-based organizations for 15 years. Her passion is helping those who serve youth to do so more effectively, so that all young people will develop the skills necessary for a fulfilling life for themselves and their communities.
Certifications include Diversity Equity Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ), Group Home Administrator, Train-the-Trainer, Compassion Fatigue, Life Coaching, LGBTQI2S, California Domestic Violence Counseling, California Sexual Assault Counseling, SEM/CSEC Counseling, SOGIE, Small Business Development, Online Teaching Certification, Results-Based Accountability, Restorative Justice, ACES and ARC Framework (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency), Trauma Informed Systems (TIS), Mentoring, and Leadership Development.
Dr. Moultrie also has experience on four boards of directors, including as board president and on two advisory boards. Her desire to support organizations is grounded in the desire to have more impactful results for the youth they serve.

Our Strategic planning process is customized to each organization and guides our clients in developing a comprehensive set of coordinated actions that work together to overcome obstacles and advance their organization’s mission. Together, we co-create an adaptable strategic plan that is grounded in stakeholder input and a thoughtful assessment of the organization’s strengths and the environment. Our strategic planning process provides the self-knowledge, alignment, and decision tools that support organizations as they adapt to a changing environment. We use many tools and processes for strategic planning, including landscape analysis, organizational capacity assessment, SWOT analysis, competitive advantage analysis, program evaluation, visioning, mission and values development, theory of change, strategy development, board and staff retreat planning and facilitation, strategy screening and decision matrix, implementation planning, and performance dashboards.
Board Development & Governance
A diverse, skilled, and active board of directors is a core component of any nonprofit’s success. Our governance capacity building services include a comprehensive board self-assessment service, developing a board composition and recruiting strategy to build diversity and needed skills on the board, establishing and implementing board member engagement contracts, and designing effective board meetings.
We facilitate board training and retreats on nonprofit governance and best practices. We also provide board coaching and consulting.
