Strategic Planning with DMCTC
DMCTC will ensure your strategic planning experience is smooth and complete. Our team will guide your organization through the necessary steps needed to help your team to clarify, strategize, strengthen team and organizational trust, revisit your goals and remind yourself of why you set them in the first place, reconnect with the mission and vision that drove you to commit to those goals, and create momentum.
Our strategic planning process will identify actions that will enable your organization to better advance its mission.
Ideally, as staff and board engage in the process, they commit to measurable goals, approve priorities for implementation, and also make a plan to revisit the strategy on an ongoing basis as the internal and external environments change.

DM Coaching, Training & Consulting specializes in assisting organizations in meeting their goals and objectives through professional proposal and full fund development services.
Fundraising is one of the most significant tasks of an organization, and it is needed to ensure the continuation of your organization’s programs and activities.
Most organizations, however, lack the personnel, time, experience, or skills to complete all development and grant proposal activities. DMCTC specializes in grant writing and development for youth-serving nonprofit organizations and have supported numerous organizations in eliminating the stresses around meeting their funding needs.
DMCTC begins its work with a new client by scheduling a virtual meeting between an associate and the client organization’s leadership team. The meeting is designed to attain an understanding of the client’s funding objectives. The information gathered from this meeting guides our collaboration.
DMCTC’s consultants will then review the organization’s mission, vision, goals, and strategic plan to identify grant fundable goals and create action plans to achieve those goals. If the strategic plan is not available of has not been recently updated, DMCTC will assign a strategic specialist to work with the organization to create or update the plan.
Next, DMCTC will review the organization’s past grants and past development plans (if any) to identify all funding sources previously approached to determine potential funding sources and proposed solutions for any identified needs. The DMCTC team will utilize proven, effective grant-seeking strategies and deliver unbelievable results.
Grant Readiness Assessment
DMCTC will help your organization in determining its readiness for seeking all levels of funding and will support you in completing the specific steps necessary for you to become competitive in the grant-seeking process.
Funding Source Identification
DMCTC’s team will conduct an exhaustive search of the nation’s over 80,000 private and corporate foundations, government agencies, and other potential funders to identify opportunities that match your organization’s needs, whether you are seeking unrestricted funds, program development, capital improvement, or personnel support, DMCTC has you covered.
Project Development
DMCTC will work closely with your team to plan programs, activities, special projects, and capital campaigns, as well as, identify grant-funding activities within your organization and develop preliminary proposals for each funding activity. This process can help your organization clarify goals, inputs, activities, and outcomes through a comprehensive plan that is customized for your organization and community.
This is when the real work begins, as our team connects targeted funders with the projects that are likely to be funded and strategize funding proposals. Next, our team will begin the proposal writing process and packet completion process for review by the client organization. During this process, DMCTC will work closely with your team to gather the necessary information and documents to complete the final process. The majority of our clients work with us for multiple projects, so this process becomes more streamlined as the partnership continues.
Once the final proposal is complete, it is submitted to the client organization for final review and approval, signatures, and submission to the funding sources.
DMCTC repeats these steps for each identified grant proposal, creating a continuous flow of projects and submissions for each identified need and proposed solution until all of the client’s needs have been addressed. Usually, an organization requires a full development plan and calendar to reach individual donors, along with 10-15 grant proposals for foundations, corporations, and government entities annually.
Follow-up
DMCTC staff understand the importance of tracking each submitted proposal as it travels through the funding source review process. Throughout the entire partnership, DMCTC keeps the client informed of the progress in securing grants, reaching out to potential donors, and completing all development tasks.
For those seeking to establish a nonprofit organization, DMCTC will complete all steps of the process, including incorporation, establishing a 501C3, state exemption paperwork, charitable organization paperwork, creation of Bylaws, EIN, DUNS, and policy creation.
Your organization is only as strong as your board of directors. Support the development of all board documents and facilitate a board training and orientation process for your entire board, preparing the board to operate effectively and to support new board recruitment.
The DMCTC team is available to assess your organization for strengths and gaps. As part of the process, our consultants will meet with the board, leadership team and staff to determine needs. Following the assessment, our team will support your organization with eliminating the gaps and coaching your board and leadership team toward ultimate success while creating policies and procedure to support your organization's operations.
